No more random sinking from my office chair. The kit came with everything required to finish the job.
This product was extremely easy to install and feels as though it is of high quality. The five stars, however; go to Office Oasis' excellent customer service, as my product arrived but was missing a part. The company apologised, then quickly rushed a new kit to me and even followed up to ensure that I received the package, providing an electronic copy of the installation instructions. This is the type of practice that wins the loyalty of customers. I highly recommend this product and urge that if you were on the fence, then relinquish your fears as you cannot go wrong. Cheers!
Cylinder is working great, the removal of the old one didn't go very well. I couldn't get it removed using the tools included, or a hammer. I ended up buying a new base plate for the chair and it is working great now. I don't think it was anything wrong with the tools or method included but rather how long my chair was assembled previously.
I couldn't get the old cylinder off my Herman Miller Aeron chair to save my life. This thing worked perfectly and I didn't even have to make any adjustments to the chair after installing!
Old cylinder was really hard to get off, the removal clamps worked really well even thought I had to do it three times. New cylinder works great.saved me from buying a new chair.
Works perfectly, and the tube extraction tool solves many problems with removing the old tube. Wish I'd had that tool before nearly destroying a pipe wrench to get the old cylinder out. One key piece of advice was already noted here. The mechanism inside the Aeron chair that pushes on the piston gas relief valve may need to be adjusted so it doesn't press on the cylinder button all the time.
