Chair Cylinder Removal Tool

Ordered this kit for a 17-year-old office chair. It took popping the tab to get the old cylinder out, but it came out, and the new one slid right into place. Wound up not using the gloves because I was less nimble with them. But overall, this saved money and landfill space, so I’m glad it worked.

Easy to use.

The only thing I can say is it’s stiff but that probably due to it being brand new other than that it saved my RAZER chair from having to be forgotten saving me $700

I have owned 3 office chairs I bought from Costco for about 5 years now. They are awesome for the price.

One of the chairs started “dropping” a few inches quite regularly. To the point I was ready to donate it and spend the cash on a Herman Miller as my wife has one and it’s very nice. I just couldn’t justify going from a $100 chair, to a $1000 chair.

I came across this replacement cylinder after my office mate bought a set of the rollerblade wheels and thought I’d give it a try.

Well it sat on the box for a few weeks and I finally got around to replacing it yesterday.

Man.. what are earth was I waiting for?!? What a difference. Never thought I’d be this excited about a chair cylinder but this thing is worth its weight in gold. No more dropping and raising. My chair even sits a little higher AND has just a few mm of bounce o would say.

Highly recommended upgrade.

The install was a little bit of a pain, but mostly because I was trying to rush. Follow the directions and it’s super easy!! Also, wear the gloves. I didn’t and got grease from my old one everywhere. Ha.

Think I’m going to try the wheels next for a whole new chair experience.

Great option to save our chairs and cost effective!
