Chair Cylinder Removal Tool

I had a bad time trying to remove the cylinder from a chair using the methods I've seen around YouTube, including shaking things apart manually, adding WD-40, hammering with a soft mallet, hammering with a hard hammer, and twisting with a pipe wrench.

After no success with all that, I used this and had it out in 3 minutes. Should have started with this tool...

My wife went from a droopy chair to one like brand new, and it only took 5 minutes to make the cylinder change! Ordering was simple, delivery in 2 days, what’s not to like?

Ordered this kit for a 17-year-old office chair. It took popping the tab to get the old cylinder out, but it came out, and the new one slid right into place. Wound up not using the gloves because I was less nimble with them. But overall, this saved money and landfill space, so I’m glad it worked.
